THE LIBRARY

Free membership is available to anyone over the age of sixteen studying, working or residing in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust.

Location

The CRIS Health Promotion Library is located on the First Floor of the Dorothy Gardiner Building, Knockbracken Healthcare Park, Saintfield Road,Belfast BT8 8BH.

Registration and Borrowing

Identification must be produced when registering. Should your personal details change please inform a member of staff.

Up to eight items (books, reports, resource packs) may be borrowed for a period of four weeks. All resources may be renewed by telephone or email Christina Patton but must be returned if requested by another borrower.

All items are issued on the understanding that

* Late returns are subject to a fine of 30 pence per book per week or part thereof.

* Full replacement costs will be incurred by the borrower for items which are lost or damaged.

* Resources on loan are the sole responsibility of the borrower and must be returned to the library issues desk in person. Material should not be passed to others whilst on loan to the borrower.

* Once you have been invoiced for non-returned resources, your membership will be suspended and you will not be able to borrow from the library until you have paid the invoice or returned the items.

Reference

A range of reference materials including a selection of relevant journals is available for viewing.

Leaflets and Posters

A full range of leaflets and posters is on display in the library. Requests for material may be made using the order forms provided or alternatively may be faxed, posted or ordered online. Delivery of leaflets and posters may be made to selected premises within EHSSB (please ask for details). Alternatively materials may be collected from the library.

While most leaflets are limited to a maximum number of copies per order there may be occasions when additional leaflets are required for a large group event. Please get in touch if this is the case. We will do our best to accommodate your requests.
